She looked at him but didn't answer. ''You're both in danger out in the open. I advise you to stay in the trees.'' she barked calmly. She looked around and sighed, ''I take you've met the latest resident, The beast. Well, there's more of them and another type of predator. If you wish to stay alive take my advise.'' she continued. Looking to the sky she spread her wings and took off. ''Goodbye.'' she barked down to the wolves. Then she disappeared into the rain.

Misery bared her teeth and snarled at the mention of the beasts, not realizing that she was. She stood immeidately and shook the water away from her body. She looked around with newly hardened, angry eyes. She didn't remember much of her past, but she did clearly remember the talk of beasts sometime in her life, and she distinctly remembered the huge monsters that were like a plague to every wolf. She turned her fiery eyes to Rayn, meeting his gaze. She looked up at the sky and snarled at the same moment that lightening crashed down once more. She turned her back to the male, which she would have thought a horrid idea had she been in her normal state of mind. She took off, her feathery wings gliding through the rain with almost no trouble. She glided smoothly just above the tree tops, and pulled up short as she saw what she didn't want to see. Flying things that seemed almost familiar to her, but she couldn't remember well. Her eyes widened for a moment, and she wheeled around in the air to fly like a rocket back to Rayn. She had no idea why she had come back, but she felt she needed to warn him. She opened her jaws to speak. "Stick to the ground, and keep close to the trees." And with that, she turned and folded her wings securely to her sides, then turned her head back toward him. Her eyes wore a warning, for she now remembered what he had told her, but she jerked her head toward the trees, silently asking him to come with her. She didn't want him to be an idiot and fly to see what had her spooked.

Rayn let a small growl form in his throat as he looked around. But he knew something was wrong. Worst case scenario he would take to the sky if that "beast" arrived. It shouldn't be able to get him there. He followed the female slowly and her smell drew him quicker. But he knew better. He just stayed close, the temptation gripping at him so much he could barely stand it. He whined but slienced himself quickly and trotted to her side.

Misery glanced at him as they moved swiftly through the trees. She still held the warning in her eyes, but it was lesser. She looked ahead again, knowing the flying things she had seen were not likely to come down here, into the trees. She knew if Rayn saw them, his first instinct would be fight or flight, and he would do best to choose the latter. She knew he would want to get in the air, too, but he couldn't do that either. She turned her head to him as they went along, keeping herself from running into anything by her peripheral vision. "Whatever you do, you can't take to the air until we get out of here. You can not take flight. We have to stay hidden in the trees until they can't find us, and then we can fly. They won't come to the ground. Most likely, they have others on the ground to flush us wolves out, and then the ones in the air are supposed to catch them. Just don't go into the air, please." She spoke softly, not wanting to alert anything else of their presence. She had no idea why she was using the word 'we' so much in that speech, or shy she was even bringing him along, but she was and that was that. She picked up the pace, now running through the forest. She kept her eyes adjusted to the rain and darkness, watching keenly with stubborn eyes.

Rayn looked behind them as she spoke and then up through the trees. He thought he saw something fly over them but he figured it was a bird. "What are they?" he whispered.

"I'm not sure. Something you don't want to mess with, I can tell you that much." She looked up as well, to see a thin creature with wings soar above the trees. She desperately hoped it didn't see them. She lay her ears back against her head, turning her gaze forward once more. She glanced over at Rayn before lengthening her strides as much as she could to cover more ground.

Rayn copied her movements and looked around, getting more and more on edge. He stopped momentarily as he sniffed the air, but quickly caught up with Misery. He had no idea what the future would bring.

Misery stopped at the edge of the trees. She peered out into the rain, watching the sky. Nothing. They must have gotten far enough away from the flying beasts. She looked at Rayn, then took off. Her feathered wings were silent, though it took some effort to keep going in the rain. She had no idea where she was going, but she had to go somewhere.
Arrin flew swiftly. She carefully avoided the winged creatures, knowing they were bad knews. She was following the strong scent of a female, racing to tell her where to go. She knew if she got caught spreading the word about the rebels, she would be killed on the spot. but she was determined to keep that from happening. Finally she caught up with the young female, and went into flight beside her. "Head north. There is a lake and forest there. Find the group of wolves that resides there, and stay with them. You mustn't come back here." And the she veered off to spread the word to any wolf that would listen.
Misery jerked away as the other wolf came up to her, but listened intently. Now she knew where to go. With that knowledge, the flapped her great wings again, and nearly forgot about Rayn. But she knew he could keep up.

Rayn stopped for teh slightest moment and watched as yet another mistery wolf left. He was beginning to think that this female had more friends than she seemed to have.

Misery turned and hovered in the air, looking nervously back at Rayn. They couldn't afford to stop, for it might cost them their lives. She whined, seeing the distant figures of the flying beasts. She turned and rocketed off, leaving Rayn to follow or not. She hadn't at all known the Spirit wolf that had just spoken to her, but she had given valuable information, and she had to trust it, or risk death.

Rayn nodded to Misery and spread his wings, following her closely. "Find the group?" he asked her as he lifted into the sky.

Misery glanced at him as she sped through the air. "Oh, we will find them, if it's the last thing I do." Her words were determined as she turned her gaze forward once more. She continued to fly. She better find these wolves soon. Her wings were having trouble carrying her, even though at this speed there was really not a lot of water on them. The moisture in the air was what gave her trouble. But she didn't show her weakness, but kept lfying like nothing was bothering her.

Rayn noticed her trouble and felt a little trouble as well. But it didn't bother him. He wouldn't let it. But he did want to help Misery. He moved up to her side and moved his paw under hers. He lifted her more and relieved some of her troubles.

Misery almost moved away as he came closer, but she thought better of it. She had a little less trouble now, but she was still haing to work. She flew across the regular wolf lands, looking down. She was curious, but this was no time to explore. As they passed over a vast forest, she could see a lake on the far side of it. As they passed over the middle of the forest, she pulled to a stop abruptly. She hovered, staring down. Wolves were standing there, one looking genuinely confused, and the others looking unsure, and then another looking sort of menacing. But none of this cought her attention. Instead, she stared down at the Beasts that were all standing defensively. She growled as she cought sight of one in particular. One of the bigger ones, with reddish brown fur, looked familiar. And then she forgot to fly. Her wings went limp, stopping her from plummeting only because they were outspread. She remembered a Beast killing her mother, and then her siblings. Her father had run like a coward, leaving her defenseless. But it seemed that the Beast had already had enough, and he went along on his way. She snapped herself out of it just before she hit the top of the trees. She flew up again, and her expression was angry. Her whole life ruined, all by one animal. She flew past Rayn, and toward the lake, where she could smell other wolves. She landed, looking back and up at Rayn. She tried to push away her anger and memories, and she folded her wings to her sides.
