Kodiak rolled his eyes but knew she was right.
"If you think Dixi can do this so much better, then you should be able to do this without me."
He growled low, but decided to wait for their reply before walking away with some dignity.

Dixi tilted her head, and then laughed, but softly. "No, we are going to need your help, I just had to revise your plan. I'm sorry. Please, go on." She sat and looked at him, kindly now, but still intense. Tex and Duke looked at her curiously. This was not the Dixi they knew. what was wrong with her? Dixi glanced at them and shook her head.

Kodiak nodded. "Fine," he finally said, "We'll use your plan. But I'll point out who does what." He sort of laughed, but it was quiet and was over before anyone had time to join in. "You and Tex will go first, in the front. Then you'll switch and Duke and Frankie will come in from the back. Then Knight and Devon wll come from two different sides and attack. And then Devon, Dixi, Tex, and Frankie will keep Lupe busy, while the rest of us try and persuade Aart to help us. Then all of us will go after Lupercus. Remember. Be as hard on Lupercus as you can. Wear him out! Make him wish he was already dead!" He let out a howl as he finished and hoped the others would howl as well.

Dixi nodded, happy with this plan. She was eager to fight now, and she quickly joined in hte howl. Her voice was slightly higher pitched than Kodiak's. Duke and Tex joined in at the same time, and together their voices were almost equal. Dixi lowered her head after a while, and looked at the other wolves. She grinned at Tex and he nodded. They headed back toward where Lupercus was and Dixi growled. She lunged, but didn't come quite close enough for either of them to get a hold of one another. Then Tex lunged and ripped at Lupercus's shoulder blade, but then jumped away before he could get caught. Dixi brought Lupercus's attention to her again as she went for his neck, and then jumped back again.

Kodiak nodded with a grin forming across his face as he watched Lupercus be torn apart. He would signal them when it was the next pairs turn. "Duke, Frankie, sneak around the back and wait for my signal to attack." he said. He waited for Lupercus as he knew Lupe would attack harshly and quickly.

Duke nodded and glanced at his siblings before slinking around the small clearing through the trees. He was careful to avoid Aart, but passed him. He finaly crouched about twenty feet behind Lupercus and waited patiently for the next attack. He watched as Dixi attacked again, and then Tex. He could see that Dixi was getting worried, no doubt because Lupercus was staying perfectly still. She was waiting for his attack, but it wasn't coming. However, she refused to let her guard slip, and kept jumping away as soon as she'd done damage.
Slavka itched to join in the fight. But instead, she sat there watching as her father was attacked again and again. She picked her hindquarters off the ground a few times, only to be given a warning glance from Sunset.

Kodiak was becoming confused now.Why was Lupercus doing nothing? He had a feeling to call them all back, but held off. If he did nothing, he'd signal the back people.

Frankie and Devon were both eager to go in and fight. But Frankie walked over to Duke and got into formation. She barked and holwed with excitment. She jumped back and forth, growling. "I'm not sure if I can wait much longer," She giggled.
Devon waited excitedly with Kodiak. "So who am I going in with?" He asked. He growled at the sight of Lupercus' stupidity.

Lupercus drew a long breath. ''Kill me now. What's done is done. Nothing can change what has already happened or what is too come.'' he barked loudly. He looked at his son who was twisting with confusion.
He stepped in, ''No! Don't touch him.'' He shouted with anger and fear for his father. He skidded to a stop infront of Lupercus. He snarled at the wolves infront and then to the ones behind. ''I'll call him. Don't make one more move. You know who I'm talking about. Don't dare!'' he snarled. He looked through the trees. The Beast was not far away.

Dixi backed off as soon as Lupercus had spoken. She knew the trap that would kill her if she did try to kill this larger wolf now. She knew that she would die, even if Lupercus didn't. She glared at Aart and growled, taking this as a bit of an insult. She glanced at Tex, who began to back away.
Sunset watched curiously, waiting to see what Aart would do. Slavka stood and inched forward, eager to kill her father now. She inched forward again as Duke backed away from Lupercus. She growled and whined with anticipation, watching her half-brother with eager curiosity.

''Back off!'' he snarled, mainly to Sunset. ''Now, listen here. If you want to keep your heads intact, come no further. I want you to come back here where I can keep an eye on you.'' he snarled to the wolves hiding behind him.
Lupercus showed no emotion. He was old and would soon die, but he needed to see his son through until he was of breeding age. ''Call him now. Do it now, son.'' he whispered, an air of excitement about his tone.
Aart knew what he ment, the time was nearly upon them, he could feel it. A shiver of aniticiptation ran down his spine. He took a deep breath, releasing it as a long and deadly howl. ''They're coming...'' he whined, in a tone that even un nerved himself, almost a giggle. He found it hard to breath out of excitement and fear.

Sunset's eyes widened, the howl sending a chill down her spine. She backed up a couple of steps, wanting to turn and bolt. It seemed that Aart had already been corrupted by his father. But something told her to stay and see what happened. She growled at Slavka and the young female bared her teeth. Slavka turned back to Aart, but knew better than to come any closer. She kept her eager eyes on Lupercus, and rolled her shoulder blades in anticipation.
Duke slinked around to Dixi, giving Aart and Lupercus a wide birth. He came to stand beside his sister, and kept his eyes patiently on Aart. He knew that he didn't really want to be here when the Beast came, but he couldn't bring himself to leave, either. Dixi kept hate-filled eyes on Lupercus, wanting to kill him, but knowing she couldn't yet.

Aart found it hard to stand still and twiched with excitement.
Somewhere amongst the trees shadows raced across the gound like clouds reaching across the sky. They danced over the rocks growing faster and faster. They snarled and snapped at the air as they ran, ready to cause some trouble. After three minutes they arrived on the clearing. Three Hounds of Valindor, Ghilwir, Calatar and Astara. The youngest, Calatar snarled louder and twiched violently. Ghilwir stepped forward and infront of Aart.
Lupercus grinned, his son had made it. His time has come.

Pounding feet sounded across the land, warning everything and anything that was near that they were all in danger. Two brown beasts appeared suddenly, flying over the heads of Duke, Dixi, and Tex. The two hyaenadon siblings landed in front of Ghilwir, snarling menacingly. Both with black stripes instead of cream, one was lighter and had more black stripes than the other. This was Falallin, and the larger male next to her was her brother Turil. Turil snapped at the air with powerful jaws and the sound was sickening.
Another set of paws made their way toward Aart. Her hind legs pushed her high into the air as she leapt from boulders and even trees. Her cream colored stripes blended well with her surroundings, and she finally came to stand next to Turil. Her name was Faurca, and she was slgihtly less agressive than the other two, though she was at the same level of intensity as the others at that moment.
Sunset watched as all the wolves' eyes widened with surprise at these never before seen beasts. Sunset shook her head and snapped at Slavka, telling her sister to come with her. Slavka, reluctantly, followed her sister back out of the forcers land, searching for others to help them change Aart from Lupercus' ways.
Dixi stepped back as the male Hyaenadon's jaws came within an inch of her muzzle and then looked from one hyaenadon to the other as the third came to stand in front of her. Now Dixi was unsure, not knowing whether or not she could take all these beasts at the same time. She glanced at Duke, who showed almost no external sign of surprise or fear, but Dixi could see that he was really surprised and as unsure as she was. Tex was no help either. She growled in frustration.

The Beasts each roared, prancing upon their bird-like paws. Ghilwir took the lead and shot bone chilling screech into the tension filled air. ''Children! Come our time is here! Lets serve our leader and leave destruction in our tracks!'' he screamed in his native language to The Beasts and Hyaenadons. ''All Hyaenas are to visit the the Spirit lands, fire and ice. And we will go to the regular terras and deamon lands.'' he continued. ''But first, show these wolves our ture power. A preview of the events to come.'' he added before signaling to Calatar to start his work. He instantly jumped into action, barging shoulder on into the group of wolves.
