" Well gee... I don't know. Lupercus is a big male, but I'll see what I can do. " He said as he sniffed around. Then he shot off around to the woods where Lupercus was. He stuck his head out silently, Then started to call the female over. "Hello! Hey come here. What is your name???" He said quietly, almost whispering. Frankie looked over curiously. She walked a little over there and then shot over to Kodiak again.

"Well my name is Knight Crawler. You can call me Knight. She said eyeballing him. She was a slightly larger female and looked to have been in a couple fights. "What is your name stranger?" She said as she came into the bush.

"My name is Devon. I am a retired forcer, Kodiak is my friend. He is over there." He said facing Kodiak as he lead her over to the rest of them. "I am looking to make a pack, Francheska is in my pack. We all call her Frankie." Devon said as he cleaned Frankies ear. "Would you like to join my pack? I need more females. I only have one. She is going into heat soon."

Kodiak sat down and welcomed the female with a calm nod. He nodded to the rest and spoke.
"These are wolves who dislike that big guy over there. Lupercus. His son, Aart, is with him."
He nodded to the two males waiting across.
"We are about to fight against him. Help us, and we will befriend you."

Dixi snorted when Kodiak told her to deal with Lupercus. She'd been about to do that anyway. She stepped forward toward Lupercus and growled. She wanted to take his attention from the other wolves. She bared her teeth, ready to fight. She felt Tex cross behind her and move to Lupercus's other side. Dixi, of course, saw the challenge, but wasn't at all wary of the larger male. If anything, this only made her more eager to fight. Tex glanced at her nervously, for her safety and not his own. His sister was almost in heat, and they both knew it. He knew that Lupercus would have figured that out by now. Tex didn't want his sister to get herself into more trouble than she could handle.
Duke glanced at Frankie as Kodiak gave his orders, and though he wasn't one to take orders usually, he made no attempt at protest. He stayed where he was, watching as Dixi and Tex made their move. He growled at Kodiak to get his attention, then jerked his head at his siblings. "Let the female choose to fight or not, but now we've already started something, we may as well finish it. C'mon, get on with it." He ordered, his voice no less than a deep rumble. He growled at Dixi, warning her not to do anything else for now, but knowing she would do whatever she had to, and she wouldn't be an airhead about it.

Frankie nodded at Duke and turned to fight. She didn't exactly want to fight with a male, but she had no choice. She turned around and slowly and stealthly made her way over to the wolf. She bared her teeth to show she was ready and she lunged at the wolf teeth sinking to the bone, she backed away for a split second and barked as she threw herself and all her might at this standing figure. She ripped at his snout and pulled away, flinging blood and chunks of meat everywhere.
Devon laughed and circled Lupercus as he bared his fangs once again. "Remember me???" He chuckled. He stepped forward and threw himself at the larger male. Teeth sinking to the bone, he wiggled around, sending pain through Lupercus. He chuckled and flew again, This time going for the neck. Devon flew to Lup's back and grabbed his neck, twisting and turning, pulling and pushing. He jumped off and growled.

Kodiak lept into the bushes and watched the fight. He had a secret plan and was waiting for the right moment. He watched Aart especially and wondered if he truly wanted to be like his dad. He whisteled to Frankie and Duke and motioned for them to return.
"Listen, I have a feeling if you talk to Aart, we might be able to use him." he whispered.
He sent the new female to Aart, hoping Lupercus was distracted by the others.

Frankie ran up. She looked worried and confused all at the same time. "What is going on?" She said huffing and puffing.
Devon jumped back a Lupercus and ripped at his throat. He felt so mad at him and wondered why he wasn't fighting back. His head was throbbing. Teeth plunged into Lup's neck and jabbed at his legs. Devon dug his claws into Lupercus' wounds and he scratched at Lup's eyes.

Duke walked over to Kodiak, leaving the smaller male to his fate. He listened to Kodiak patiently, knowing that Devon wouldn't last a minute with a wolf as experienced as Lupercus. They had to be quick witted, as he knew Lupercus was unpredictable. He glanced behind Kodiak for a moment, sure he'd seen something pass through the bushes. He shook his head and looked back at Kodiak. "It might work. We'll see what we can do." he said calmly and turned, to stop dead in his tracks.
Dixi and Tex tilted their heads as Devon jumped right in to attack. Dixi let out a laugh. Foolish, she thought. "Hey, Pup, get away from him if you want to stay alive," she called, amused. Tex rolled his eyes. The wolf wouldn't come by her comand, he would be far too overconfident to do as she told him. He obviously thought he could take the larger, more powerful male, but Tex and Dixi both knew that it wouldn't be achieved by making the first move. That could be anticipated, and then you were vulnerable. Tex and Dixi and Duke had often figured this out when they had their practice fights as pups, and they were more experienced from that than most. Dixi shook her head, and sat on her tail to watch the foolish wolf.
A shadow moved quickly through the trees. She'd seen this coming, and knew that none of the wolves already here could do a thing about it. She was determined, and blocked out all of her other visions, not wanting to be interrupted. She stood at the edge of the trees, in plain sight of only Aart. None of the others could see her, though she'd barely escaped notice by Duke. Sunset crouched and tried to catch Aart's gaze, but she couldn't catch his eye. She growled and leapt at him, bowling him over from the side. She grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and pulled him back toward the trees where no one could see them. She was stronger than she looked, but Aart's weight was a bit of a challenge for her. She growled in his ear, warning him not to make a sound yet. Finally she dropped him when they were as far away from the rest of the wolves. She backed away to let him get up and spit the loose hair out of her mouth. "Listen to me," she said quietly, though with full authority. "It's time your father was put to an end, and only you can do it, with a little help. I know what you can do, and Lupercus wants to use it to his advantage. He'll become ruler of this place instead of you. Stop him, Aart. You can't let him use you like that. Trust me, it will be a good thing." She slinked backward as she spoke, and then slipped into the shadows so that only her eyes could be seen in the darkness. She looked at him pleadingly, and blinked once. She turned her gaze to an out-of-place shadow to her right, where Slavka sat with her dark fur blending in to the shadows. Slavka grinned eagerly, anxious. Sunset rolled her eyes and looked back at Aart. She watched him, almost sure of what he would say.

Devon glanced at Dixi and came to her, "Who's side are you on?" He demanded. His eyes narrowed and he bounded toward Kodiak. "I can't take him alone, I am going to need some help!" He said to him in a tone that said he was in control. "How can I do this alone?
Frankie walked toward Aart. She growled at him and sat dead in his face. "If you really are the prophecy then you are going to need to help us defeat your father. What's it going to be." She said. She had heard Sunset but had not seen her. Her body and ears were alert but her eyes calmed. She stood up and protected her neck. Then waited for his reply.
Devon stood up and paced back and forth in front of Kodiak. Devon's eyes glued to him and He was waiting. He glanced at Frankie and noticed she was not attacking but talking. He growled to her and he was VERY frustrated. He was still pumped from the fight, but was still tense, His eyes screamed alert but his body moved slowly.

Knight was confused about all that was happening. She shook her head violently and focused on Kodiak. What am I supposed to do? She asked looking down.

Kodiak was annoyed and anxious. He knew they should have waited a bit longer for Lupercus' move. He called them all back and went to his first position, out of earshot from the enemies.
" Guys. We need to wait. Lupe will be here any second full of anger. I need you ALL on him. Ignore Aart for now...if he attacks, throw him off and get back to Lupercus." he said sternly.
He doubletaked and realized he was talking like a father to his pups. He went to a new hiding and signaled them to wait. "Attack when he is running for you. All on him at once!"

Devon smerked at the idea and he nodded. Frankie had a stern look on her face but she nodded and hid in a bush. Devon and Frankie stood about 9 feet away from Lupercus out in the open. They protected their necks and growled, baring their teeth.

Dixi rolled her eyes. "No, you can't beat him with brute strength, idiots." She growled. "Get back here! We have to outsmart him. That means one or two wolves at a time on him, and throw him off. Think about it, he's stronger than almost all of us put together, plus if that pup over there starts after us while we're on Lupercus, we're all dead. Make your decision." She looked around at them and then at Kodiak. Dixi's no nonsense attitude was coming out again, and she was frustrated that these wolves had no plan whatsoever.
Duke and Tex sat and nodded their agreement to Dixi's plan. They both knew she was right, even if the others didn't think so.
Sunset tilted her head as Frankie spoke to Aart, but knew she hadn't seen her. Slavka still sat, impatitently waiting for Aart's decision. Sunset glanced at her, but only once, before looked expectantly back at Aart.

Frankie and Devon growled and ran back to Dixi. They came up to Kodiak, Waiting for everyone to make a plan. They both listened to Dixi, knowing she was right and Devon spoke up. "Dixi, since you seem to be the most wise, I think YOU should make the plan." He said sitting in front of her. Frankie nodded at the idea.
